Muscle origins (red) and insertions (navy blue) hand-painted on all the bones
of the right half, have their names hand-lettered in place. Where space
doesn’t permit name-lettering, muscles are number-coded. To prevent confusion,
additional colors differentiate the origins and insertions of the erector spinae
complex - iliocostalis: orange and yellow; longissimus: light and dark green.
- Bones and osteological features of the left side have been hand-numbered
for identification.
