To aid identification and
comprehension, the vertebrae of this enhanced version have been color-coded as
follows: cervical (C1-C7) yellow. Thoracic (T1-T12) orange. Lumbar (L1-L5) dark
brown.
In addition to color-coding of
the vertebrae, contrasting colors have been employed to distinguish between the
carpals, metacarpals, proximal, medial and distal phalanges of one hand, and to
differentiate the tarsals, metatarsals, proximal, medial and distal phalanges of
one foot.
