Rotary Evaporators with Motorized Lift, IKA* Works
Compact evaporators accept evaporating flasks with capacities from 50mL to 2L
and <7 in. (17.8cm) in diameter. Rodaviss screw joints permit bonded ground
joints to be released easily and safely. Maximum load: 22 lb. (10kg).
Evaporators include drive, glassware with diagonal condenser and bath. For 115V
50/60Hz.
With Motorized Lift. Permits incremental height adjustment. Glassware
doesn't move, so it doesn't break. Controls are easily readable, accessible and
positioned away from bath and potential spills. Head tilt angle is adjustable to
within 10°. Features condenser cooling surface of 1200cm2 (186 sq.
in.), higher yield and cooler condensate. "Chimney effect," which
causes jolting and foaming, is prevented. Brushless DC motor speed is 10 to
240rpm; input/output, 45/36w. Dimensions: 15 x 15 x 25 in. (38 x 38 x 64cm).
Weight: 26 lb. (12kg).
The 4.9L (1.3 gal.) stainless-steel bath heats water from ambient to 437°F
(225°C). Oil or water can be used as the heat-transfer medium, and the bath can
be positioned to accommodate flasks of different sizes. Automatic
high-temperature safety switch turns off heating coil if bath runs dry and
prevents reheating until equipment is reset. Bath and carrying handles are
insulated with air space and fiber glass; bath has slip-resistant rubber feet.
