A simple acrylic cover for the protection of carboys and laboratory equipment. Hinged lid and open base allows carboy to be placed into the unit. Carboy cover can be removed without disturbing container by simply lifting off. Clear acrylic for [³²P] Beta emissions. Fits standard 20 litre carboy.

Where shielding is required for protection against Gamma emissions of [¹²⁵I] Iodine and other Gamma emitters of lesser energy, a 12mm thick lead acrylic is required. This is the heavy gauge lead acrylic Jencons-PLS uses for its Gamma shielding products.

Safety Carboy Cover

Beta emissions of ³²P, ³⁵S, ³H and ¹⁴C can be effectively blocked by 10mm thick optical acrylic. All Jencons-PLS Beta shielding is manufactured from heavy gauge 10mm thick acrylic.
