| A rapid and sensitive method for detecting protein and nucleic acids fractionated by PAGE. Provides gels with clear backgrounds and sharp bands. Silver staining is about 100 times more sensitive than the standard Coomassie Blue protein staining and about 10 times more sensitive than ethidium bromide for DNA and RNA. Kit contains silver stain, developer, sensitizers I and II, and a directional insert. Note: one kit provides reagents sufficient for staining 25 mini gels. |
