pH/C Hanna Meter with Printing and Logging
The top-of-the-range 50-HI98230 and 50-HI98240
portable pH meters offer all the features of 50-HI98140 and 50-HI98150
with the advantage of having a built-in plain paper printer. Featuring GLP (Good
Laboratory Practice) capabilities, these instruments incorporate Hanna's
latest "intelligent" electrode technology. These pH electrodes incorporate a
chip which memorizes the calibration data performed with a specific instrument.
The meter and electrode recognize each other and you can calibrate a series of
electrodes for specific applications and swap them without needing to
recalibrate the meter! This new technology allows the operator to optimize time
and efficiency with unsurpassed safety. It also avoids erroneous measurements
due to the pH electrode having been substituted after calibration. This advanced
series of electrodes also incorporates a temperature sensor, eliminating the
need for an additional temperature probe.
50-HI98230 and 50-HI98240 allow the
user to print a permanent undisputable record of the measurement data at any
time for record keeping, troubleshooting or compliance purposes. The printing
interval is user selectable from 1 to 180 minutes. When the logging mode is
activated the instrument stores the measurement data which can be printed
directly or at a later date. The stored data (up to 500 measurements) can also
be downloaded to a PC with a standard RS232 serial connection and Hanna's
infrared adapter and Windows« compatible software. 50-HI98230 and 50-HI98240
also feature a dual-level backlit LCD which facilitates operation in dimly lit
areas. Graphic symbols and messages on the LCD guide the user through the
measurement procedures as well as during calibration. The pH range has been
extended to -4.00 to 19.99 pH and pH calibration is automatic at one or two
points with five stored buffer values (pH 4.01, 6.86, 7.01, 9.18 and 10.01). The
meter also allows the operator to set a calibration max. time that will alert
the user when recalibration is necessary.
Access to the GLP data is password protected for
added safety. All pH measurements are automatically compensated for the effects
of temperature and a stability indicator will appear on the display when the pH
measurement is stable.
50-HI98230 and 50-HI98240 are each
supplied with 50-HI1618D intelligent electrode with built-in temp.
sensor, DIN, 1 m (3.3Æ) cable, 12VDC adapter, pH 4.01/7.01 buffer solutions,
cleaning sol., 5 rolls of printer paper, batteries, hard carrying case
