Fluorescence Microscope, Trinocular, Professional Level
The 1400 Series Epi-Fluorescence Microscopes are the flagship of the
VanGuard microscope line. Combining top performance with highly-advanced features
and optics, the 1400 series models produce images of the utmost in clarity.
Each of the 1400 series Epi-Fluorescence microscopes come equipped
with 4X, 10X, 40X, and 100X objective magnifications and come standard with a trinocular
head with either plan achromatic and fluorescence or plan achromatic,
brightfield and fluorescence objectives.
· Viewing Head:
Trinocular heads rotate 360° with 30° inclined eyetubes.
Interpupillary and dioptric adjustments.
Sliding main prism (30/70 split) to provide full-time imaging when
the vertical
tube is in use (trinocular models only).

10X WideField (DIN)

· Nosepiece:
Quintuple, reversed, extra-large, ball bearing nosepiece with a
wide, knurled
grip for easy operation.
Features high-grade lubricant and positive stops.
· Objectives:
All brightfield and phase contrast objectives are plan-achromatic.
Fluorescence objectives are achromatic.
All objectives are manufactured to DIN standards and are coated.
· Stage:
Delivering a high level of fluid motion control and longevity, the
stage measures
140mm x 140mm
Featuring a removable spring-clip slide holder and a
chemical-resistant finish.
Motion is controlled with a right-hand, low-position, rack and
pinion coaxial control.
· Focusing Movement:
Coaxial, ultra low-position coarse and fine focus controls.
Graduated to 2 microns per division.
40mm focusing range with safety upstop feature.
· Condenser:
Brightfield model (1482FL) comes with a 1.25 N.A. Abbe condenser.
Phase model (1486FL) comes with a 1.25 N.A. Zernike condenser with
phase
annulus rings for 10X, 25X, 40X and 100X;
'Zero' setting for brightfield work.
Mounted in a rack and pinion focusing mechanism.
Spring-loaded centering knobs.
Iris diaphragm.
Swing-in filter holder.
· Transmitted Illumination:
20W variable quartz halogen light source.
Comes with blue, green and neutral density (frosted) filters.
· Epi Illumination:
100W HBO mercury vapor light source.
Easily focused and centered with lamp viewer.
Powered by external power supply featuring an electronic timer to
log lamp use.
· Fluorescence Filters:
3-position (2 filter positions and 1 off position), sliding filter
cube assembly.
Comes standard with 2 broad band filter sets (blue-green and
green-red).
Custom, narrow band filter sets available (please call for
details).
· Base:
Stable 225mm x 160mm design is fitted with anti-skid rubber feet
· Body:
Cast metal, ergonomic body with stain-resistant enamel finish.
