Noise Pollution Kits
Students will use this Noise Pollution kit to hear how it would sound to have different ranges of hearing loss, diagram and label ear anatomy, define and measure noise pollution. Some of the topics illustrated and described in the kit include: Anatomy of the Ear; Transmission of Sound; Measurement of Noise; Effect of Noise on the Individual and the Community and Methods of Controlling Noise Pollution. The kit includes 14- 35mm slides, a specially prepared audiocassette tape that allows students to experience a variety of simulated hearing losses and a detailed teacher's manual.
