Heavy oxidized resistance-wire wound on insulated metallic tube 2" in diameter and 12" long. Tube has an air center which effectively dissipates heat, so that the rheostat can carry more current. Carbon contact makes close selection of desired resistance. Rheostat has cast iron ends with enamel finish. Other metal parts are nickel-plated. Resistance indicated is maximum resistance. Instruction sheet provided.
