Calorimeter, Open Flame Style
This unique, specially designed Calorimeter is very different from most. This Calorimeter is used to measure the potential heat capabilities of various solid or liquid fuels and is much more efficient than the standard type. This unit is an open flame type with an insulated ceramic outer shell. An inner walled chimney directs the heat upwards around a test tube of water from which readings are taken. Comes complete with everything except fuel. A peanut is a recommended solid fuel for testing.
